Registration:
Registration Forms are distributed to students each January. Students registered at Father Redmond will receive these forms in their homeroom classes. Incoming students from grade 8 to grade 9 who have been accepted will receive a registration package at their home school. There is a grade 9 Registration Night scheduled each year in March.
Option Forms:
Option forms allow students to select their courses for the upcoming year. Please review the Programs and Admissions section of this website for a full listing of courses by grade, offered at Father Redmond. Both a student signature and parent signature are required on these forms. Option forms will be given to current students in February of each year and to incoming students with their Registration package.

Senior Prom

Time: Reception @6:00 pm - Midnight, dinner @7:00 pm
Location: Atlantis Pavillion (Ontario Place)
The dress code for this event is formal and please be advised that there will be no “in and out” privileges for any students.
Commencement Rehearsal Day
Date: Tuesday, June 25, 2013
Time: 10:00 am – 1:00 pm
Location: Father John Redmond C.S.S. & R.A.C
It is mandatory that all students attend this rehearsal if they plan to participate in the Commencement Ceremony.
Commencement Ceremony (Graduation) Day
Date: Wednesday, June 26, 2013
Time: Ceremony @7:00 pm, doors will open @6:30 pm
Location: Queen Elizabeth Theatre (Exhibition Place)
It is mandatory that all students who are attending the Commencement Ceremony participate fully on both June 25th and June 26th.

May, 2013 - FJR Arts Symposium - All RAP (Regional Arts Program) students will have an opportunity to listen to a panel of 7 representatives who will discuss the fine arts programs at their school. The following schools will be participating:

May, 2013- A variety of guest speakers from various career paths will speak to classes with related curriculum.

The scholarship will recognize a student who shows a commitment to academics as well as improving their community through volunteering and dedication.
The winning student of the Rotary Club of Toronto/Toronto Argonauts Community Scholarship will have his/her Canadian post-secondary institution tuition paid for through the Rotary Club of Toronto/Toronto Argonauts Community Scholarship for the duration of their undergraduate program at a Canadian post-secondary institution.
Applications for The Rotary Club of Toronto/Toronto Argonauts Community Scholarship will be accepted at the beginning of January 2013, and the deadline for applications is April 22, 2013 .

Royal Commonwealth Society Essay Competition

The Commonwealth Essay Competition is the world’s oldest and largest schools’ international writing competition, run by the Royal Commonwealth Society (RCS) since 1883.
The closing date is 1st May 2013 and results will be announced in the autumn of next year, when a Junior and Senior Prize Winner and Runner Up will be announced and our judges will make a number of Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards.

The Toyota Earth Day Scholarship Program encourages and rewards graduating Canadian high school students who have distinguished themselves through environmental community service, extracurricular and volunteer activities, and academic excellence.

OHF Bursary Program

The Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF) is the largest Branch of Hockey Canada with over 250,000 registered participants participating under one of our seven Member Partners: Minor Hockey Alliance of Ontario (ALLIANCE), Greater Toronto Hockey League (GTHL), Northern Ontario Hockey Association (NOHA), Ontario Hockey Association (OHA), Ontario Hockey League (OHL), Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA), and Ontario Women’s Hockey Association (OWHA). The OHF Bursary Program provides financial assistance to registered participants to help offset the cost of post-secondary education. The Program has awarded over $270,000 in 16 years.

Portuguese Association at York University

High school, college, and mature students (those out of school for 2 years or more) entering into their first year at York University are eligible if they are/have:
1. A Canadian citizen or landed immigrant of Portuguese descent/descendent of a Lusophon nation and/or an international student of Lusophone origin
3. Attending York University in fall 2013, provided they are accepted to the University
4. A minimum average in their graduating year of 75%
5. Participated in at least 3 extracurricular activities while in high school (each year counts as a separate volunteer example, list it accordingly).
The MERIT AWARD BURSARY PROGRAM
The MERIT AWARD BURSARY PROGRAM provides bursaries to high school students who demonstrate a high commitment to their studies and extracurricular. Each year Father Redmond has a t least two winners. Get your application in Guidance now. Deadline is March 29th.

Out-of-Province and International Destinations:
Students planning to attend school out-of-province or in the United States and/or abroad should attend the International University Fair in September. As well, students should sign up to write the Practice SAT Test (PSAT) with the Gifted Program in October. (See Ms. Romano or Ms. Borsk for more information)
Ontario students can receive OSAP assistance if they attend a school out-of-province that qualifies. In order to determine which school qualifies, go to the OSAP website. Follow the instructions on the attachment above.
