Items not chosen in 2007/2008 but to be revisited in 2008/2009:
1. Long Jump Pit – $1000
2. Painting Track Lines - $2000
3. Smart Board Mounting - $2000
4. Top up for Plasma TV - $5000

Comments from Parents re: Plasma TV – they were not willing to give $5000 but would consider between $1000-3000. Parents at the meeting felt that it was a lot of money and not as beneficial to the students as other items.

The goal of the wish list was to spread the $9000 around to benefit as many students as possible. We felt that was achieved with our choices.

(For 2008/2009 - make the decision earlier. Request the wish list items at the February meeting and grant requests at the April Meeting in order to give staff enough time. )

New Business

SARC (School Accommodation Review Committee) Update for Christ the King, St Teresa, St Ambrose and St Josephat.  All four schools have agreed that St Ambrose should rebuild on their original site, that St Teresa and Christ the King should amalgamate in a new building at Lakeshore and Kipling and St Josephat would move into one of those two schools.  Diane Parwicki expressed concern that this new building, located just north of Redmond, should have a focus on the Arts in order to have a natural tie in with the FJR RAP.  Therese explained that the 'wish lists' presented by both Christ the King and St Teresa called for a build that focused on green initiatives and programs that included strong connections with both FJR and Humber in order that the Arts could be properly fostered at the elementary level.
